Sharon Ross brings over 20 years of expertise in business in the aerospace industry, complemented by an additional decade of experience in the non-profit sector. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded numerous improvement programs and transformation initiatives, consistently driving positive impacts on business results and organizational cultures. Sharon is an engaging speaker, leader, and teacher. Sharon has held various positions of increasing responsibility and diversity, showcasing her ability to adapt and excel in different roles. Her extensive background and proven leadership skills enable her to quickly master new challenges and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. She is known for three key strengths that she brings to every opportunity: a relentless focus on creating value for the customer, a demonstrated ability to strategically align leaders for transformative change, and a contagious passion for achieving organizational excellence.

Karen Cameron is a seasoned business leader with a diverse career spanning various industries and continents. A native of Summerside, Karen graduated from Three Oaks High School before completing her undergraduate degree while playing Varsity Basketball for the Memorial University Women’s Seahawks. She later earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario. Karen has lived and worked in many parts of the world, bringing her expertise to senior roles in multiple sectors. Her experience includes serving as Operations Manager for a telecommunications company in the Caribbean, Assistant Country Director (Operations) for a non-profit in Zimbabwe, Management Consultant at CIBC's head office in Toronto, and Head of Financial Planning & Business Improvement for an educational organization in England. After returning to PEI to raise her family, she joined Vector Aerospace where she excelled in business performance and sales support. After operationalizing a family law practice, she is hungry to get back in the field of management consulting. Karen is driven by a passion for operational excellence and strategic growth, consistently delivering impactful results across diverse organizational landscapes.
Our Story
Plaid Consulting was born from a long-held dream. After a career dedicated to transformation and leadership, Sharon took a leap of faith in 2024 to bring her vision to life—using her skills, experience, and passion to help organizations and professionals reach new heights. From the beginning, her focus has been on helping teams unlock potential, solve real problems, and build lasting capabilities.
In 2025, Karen joined as a partner and consultant, bringing with her a wealth of multi-industry experience and a collaborative spirit that deepened Plaid’s impact and broadened its reach.
The name Plaid Consulting reflects the very heart of our approach. Plaid’s intersecting lines—both vertical and horizontal—visually represent the connection between people, processes, and purpose. As a data-driven duo, we believe in the power of visual management to create clarity, drive alignment, and support better decision-making. The name also gives a quiet nod to our roots in family, community, and the strength of everyday people working toward something better.
Sharon and Karen first met over a decade ago, united by a shared passion for continuous improvement. Their connection—rooted in mutual respect and values of family, growth, and contribution—sparked a lasting friendship and a shared dream to one day build something meaningful together. That dream became Plaid Consulting.
Today, as active members of Prince Edward Island’s business and cultural community, Sharon and Karen are recognized for their insight, integrity, and ability to make a difference. Their work continues to be guided by a deep commitment to helping others thrive.
